About Marcel: Marcel, a young man of 21 years, heart stopped as he walked down the streets of Seattle looking for a restaurant to eat breakfast. This young man inspired many of his family and friends with his love language of love. His heart is so pure, when he was young he would go with his father to feed the homeless at the shelters in Tacoma. When he was in Junior High school he asked his father to rent a gymnasium at People Center in Tacoma Wa, so kids his age could learn how to play basketball.
He always had his heart set on helping others in need. One evening while having dinner with the family he ordered food at the Olive Garden. His order was a little unusual but normal for the amount of food he ate.
When the food was brought to the table Marcel ask the waitress for two to go boxes. There was a woman who had a blackeye with a little child standing outside the restaurant, everyone passed them by. Marcel continued to look out the window but no one paid to much attention to why. Everyone watched Marcel as he finished putting the food in the boxes walk out with the two to go bags and hand them to the woman with the little child, then he gave her a huge hug and a smile. He was 15 years old at the time. When he walked back into the restaurant he sat down and ordered another dish without concern his father would complain.
Tears came to his father's eyes because he realized his son would grow to be a good man. His father's greatest pain is knowing the world may never get to see or hear Marcel's love language again.
The goal of this fund raiservto to help the family and the sacrifices they will have to make to be there for Marcel and his recovery. The doctors have said because of the lack of oxygen to Marcel's brain they do not expect him to survive. However, the family is holding on to God as their healing grace. No one ever expects this to happen to their child. So young, with his love language being "love." His older sister Julia had the same issue with her heart stopping as she was sleeping, she did not survive.
People of the community be a blessing to Marcel and his family. Let us show Marcel and his family they are not alone, that our love language is also love as well.
