More Info

My name is Zaiyah Anahata, I am 10 months old and I would love so much to have my family together.  I have met my Daddy Sheldon once when me, my Mummy Bev and 7 year old sister Selinam flew out to Jamaica when I was 3 months old. I am growing up so fast and my Daddy is missing this and so sad to not be able to share these special moments. I am very young at the moment but I have my whole life ahead of me and I would like to be able to have both of my parents involved in my upbringing. This really means a lot to us all as a family.

My Daddy Sheldon has to apply for a visa to come to be with me in the UK from Jamaica and this will cost a lot of money to apply and need legal representation for a complex process and journey. The cost of immigration is very expensive these days, as much as £10,000 has been quoted to my parents. We are hoping it will be fast but it may go to appeal, the first stage of the journey will cost £5000. This is a very difficult situation for us as a family to be nearer to one another.

A friend suggested crowd funding to my Mummy and this seemed like a possible option to help us to raise funds to support us with the immigration costs and getting me to be reunited with my Daddy and able to see him more often.

I feel so lucky to have such a diverse cultural background that will shape my life. Of course I am going to be taken to Jamaica and to know my family there as well as my family here. My parents feel that I have more opportunities here in the UK and this is where my maternal family is, so I will grow up here but I would really like my Daddy to be here too.

Can you help to move us a little bit closer to this possibility? I know that when I am older I will be so grateful for anyone that can contribute to my Daddy being able to move over to the UK. If you look at the photos of us together I am sure you agree that my Daddy is missing out a lot by not being here with me.
