We are fundraising for the Food For the Hungry Yemen Relief Aid that will help them rush immediate food, provide access to clean water and other life-saving aid to help people in Yemen survive.
I was convicted to begin this fundraiser after hearing about the Yemen crisis and praying about what I should do. God convicted me to raise money with a few church friends and family: Shana Robertson, Amber Duan, Joy and Jeni Chi, Sissi Zhang, and Christine Wang. 1 John 3:17 says "But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?". I felt convicted to use some of the extra time I have because of the current pandemic to fulfill this command to the best of my ability through fundraising. God calls me to a greater purpose than fulfilling my own desires, and I hope that if you feel Him calling you that you don’t hesitate to submit to Him.
Amber Duan: “I’m fundraising for Yemen because I believe it is really important to be aware of what is going on in the world beyond our lives and to care for people when they’re in crisis. It’s crucial that we help because we have the ability to help and we should help when it is needed.”
