In 1974, after many years of painstaking research, Pauline Williams-Wright published "The Wright Book"; a history of the Wrights' long journey from Bedford County, Virginia to Montgomery County, Arkansas. Her research led her from Arkansas to Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Texas, Louisiana and other states where she spent countless hours in dusty church and library basements poring over church records, microfilm, cemetery records, land records and more. She chronicled the journey of Edmund Wright from Alliance, Ohio that eventually led to his family settling in Arkansas.
To coincide with the release of her book, Aunt Pauline organized the first Wright Family Reunion. Since then, the descendants of Edmund Wright have met to fellowship every even year on the fourth Saturday and Sunday in June.
The venue, Old Mt. Tabor Cemetery, was donated by Edmund Wright to the community. Edmund's mother, Anne Jane Schooley Wright, was one of the first to be buried in the cemetery.
