greetings & blessings dear friends!

Our world is changing before our eyes. We hear the cries of our blessed Earth shifting from the destruction of humans. Many people are living with too much stress, feeling disconnected and not knowing what to do to make things better. When folks visit Woodland Harvest they experience another way. A way cultivated out of intention with LOVE for the earth and humanity. Here we listen to our ancestors and honor the way of the wise grandmothers. We study the rhythms of Gaia and take action to live happy healthy resilient lives through a permaculture lens doing the best we can with our human capital and resources at hand. WE PLANT SEEDS OF HOPE!

This winter season we have a goal of raising $7,000 for infrastructure improvements to move our small off-grid permaculture farm and our family further towards self-reliance and resilience! Please donate what you feel! As our farm infrastructure evolves, we become better equipped to host teaching & learning groups and further sustain Woodland Harvest for the important work we do in this world now and for future generations to carry on.

This upcoming year we’ve committed to working with five college groups throughout the month of March as part of our 5 year hosting Alternative Spring Break groups from across the country and students from across the globe! With the success of our 2018 natural building workshops, we’ve decided to host a series of natural building events through the warmer months of 2019! In addition to furthering our outdoor kitchen and strengthening the existing infrastructure on the land, we plan to finish the main house foundation, dig a root cellar, add greenhouse growing spaces to the land, add solar thermal features and expand the kitchen, moving us towards commercial kitchen standards. We operate on a shoestring budget and we’re creative and resourceful; we’re able to create a lot with just a portion of the money if takes most folks. Each donated dollar goes a long way towards furthering the vision at Woodland Harvest! Please donate what you feel!

In the past year we’ve hosted four colleges on their Alternative Spring Breaks, deeply touching the lives of more than 60 young people. We hosted more than a dozen work traders during the warmer months, sharing all types of hard and soft skills around living in community on a rustic off-grid homestead in the woods. We hosted three natural building events with the participation of over 40 folks to build a cob oven & cordwood walls, working with clay, wood & sand, and retrofitting the Owl cabin walls with natural materials. We gifted our families’ labor to five women friends in need of help in North Carolina, New York, & California. For our family income, we spend time in California where elizabeth & lisa solicit wage work & host workshops as Handywomen Working for Women! which provides a portion of the yearly financial needs of the Woodland Harvest farmstead while Aydan & Landrum take advantage of the youth loving culture in the Bay Area. We sell our handcrafted salves, balms, tinctures, flower essences & sacred herbal blend online and in local shops and continue to grow our apothecary.

We continue heal from the theft that occurred on our sacred land last year, but didn’t recover any of the things that were taken. This season we have three folks stewarding the land apart from our family; Mike-our dependable caretaker of 5 years, our nephew Campbell who’s been visiting the farm since he was a child & now lives fulltime at the farm, and our beloved friend Tracy who brings knowledge of biology & vermiculture & community living. We continue to call folks to Woodland Harvest who share our visions and values around creating the world we know is possible.

If you feel called to help co-create our Woodland Harvest vision, please donate & share our story with others. Our ultimate goal is to have the support of generous angels & beloveds to help pay off the total land debt of $70,000, but every dollar, every share, every prayer & every moment MATTERS!  You can learn more about the past, present, and future of Woodland Harvest by visiting our website at woodlandharvest.org or by visiting our farm!

Thank you deeply for your time, attention, support, and love.

Blessings & Deepest Gratitude,

elizabeth, lisa, landrum & aydan Campbell, Tracy, Mike & All the Critters at Woodland Harvest Mountain Farm
