The week of Mother’s Day is National Women Build Week. Habitat Mississippi Gulf Coast will be hosting our annual Women Build fundraiser in Harrison and Jackson Counties April 17 - May 19. Join us as we bring together Mississippi Gulf Coast area women to grab their hammers and volunteer. More than 17,000 women from across the country are expected to volunteer at Habitat construction sites to help create a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Families with children with a female head of household make up a staggering number of those in need of adequate housing. More than 12 million children - one in six - live in poverty housing in the United States alone. April 17 – May 19, 2018 will be dedicated to empowering women on the construction site while raising the funds needed to sponsor the home.
