Did you know that the choice of food provided with the help of your donation is important to the health of the elderly too?
As 46% of your donation's beneficiaries are 60 years old and above, it is important for you and I to take into consideration their dietary needs. This is so that, with your help, we are able to serve them with the best and most suitable meals. The type of food served to them depends on their present health conditions as well.
Here are the top 5 dangerous, and sometimes crippling, medical conditions faced by the elderly in Singapore:

Arthritis is the swelling and tenderness of one or more of your joints. The main symptoms of arthritis are joint pain and stiffness, which typically worsen with age.
2) High Cholesterol: Singapore's 2nd major cause of deathCholesterol
This is when fatty substances are stored in the blood vessels, blocking the arteries which will then lead to chest pains and heart attack.
3) Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary (heart) Disease (COPD)
This is the 6th major cause of death in Singapore - COPD is a progressive disease, meaning it typically worsens over time.

Will you help provide free, healthy meals for the elderly today?
With the help of your donation of $50, $100, $150 or even $200, we can go a long way towards bringing healthy food that is suitable for the common medical conditions faced by the elderly.Due to arthritis and various other health, financial and personal afflictions, many of them aren't able to cook for themselves, much less go to the market to buy fresh, healthy food. As you and I know, unhealthy food is oftentimes easier to get than healthy ones. This can aggravate the various health conditions the elderly are already suffering from.Today, you can help us to provide more meals for the elderly so that they can tide through this very challenging COVID-19 period.
