All donations will be generously matched by the Lasko Family Foundation!

February is Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month (JDAIM). During this important month of learning, advocacy, and work for greater inclusion, YOU can make a difference for children with disabilities by supporting Whole Community Inclusion today.

During JDAIM, help us raise $10,000 towards the Lasko Family Foundation matching grant of $25,000.

Based on national statistics, we estimate* that there are well over 7,000 children with disabilities in the Philadelphia Jewish community. While many important strides have been made to meet this tremendous need, we know that there are still thousands of families in the greater Philadelphia community who have not found support for their children's needs in Jewish communal spaces.

Jewish Learning Venture's Whole Community Inclusion (WCI) works tirelessly to advocate for and serve children with disabilities in the Jewish community. Your gift will be generously matched dollar for dollar by the Lasko Family Foundation. Contributions will go toward programs for families, professional development for educators and clergy, and one-on-one consultations for professionals and parents.

*This estimate is based on national statistics that show 20% of the population are individuals with disabilities.

Update #5

"What would the world look like if we got to know people before we judged them based on appearances?"

During Jewish Disability Awareness & Inclusion Month, we've been asking this question to kids, teens and parents; to people with disabilities and their families; to rabbis, cantors and educators. We've created lesson plans and an online art gallery to raise awareness about disability inclusion--in our classrooms, in our sanctuaries, in our neighborhoods and homes.

YOUR support of our work has been amazing--thank you! We are now less than $2,000 from our goal and we believe we can pass $10,000 (all of which will be matched by the Lasko Family Foundation).

Please help us get there by posting our campaign on your social media one time...we know that folks need to be reminded several times to give. Every effort has helped us tremendously and we're grateful!

Update #4

We had an incredible President's day morning hosting a sensory-friendly access event with the National Museum of American Jewish History. What made it extra special is that an ASL interpreter was present so that when George Washington read a story, kids who use ASL could understand.

Please help us keep these programs going strong! We're REALLY close to $6,000~every gift is greatly appreciated and will help us get to our $10k goal! Posting this campaign to your social media will help us reach more people who care about inclusion.

Thank YOU!
