Where Do Butts Go?

Our mission is to raise awareness to the single-use crisis by taking action against the most commonly littered item. Cigarette butts.

We are doing that by partnering with venues in our community to divert the waste from their smoking sections. With the help of talented, and supportive, local artists we are beautifying 55 gallon steel drums to be used in the smoking sections or the back-of-house at venues large and small. We are proudly in our first season with Coors Field, Fiddler's Green, Red Rocks, Levitt Pavilion, Black Box and Be on Key Psychedelic Ripple. We are also working with Keep Denver Beautiful to roll out a cigarette waste diversion program for high traffic downtown areas.

With the large amounts of people that enjoy these venues we hope that our message will be spread far and wide. The barrels have all been purchased by founder Nick Phillips and the collection service is provided to the venues complimentary. Each barrel costs at least $30 depending on the supplier and we will be needing more as we continue to bring venues on board!

If you would like to get this going in your community, please reach out to Nick via social media or email at wheredobuttsgo@gmail.com
