Weird illness

While visiting Gambia, I was bitten by a mosquito, and since that day, I have been battling a mysterious illness that has turned my world upside down.

Every 15 – 20 days, I fall severely ill for three to five days. The symptoms are debilitating and unpredictable, leaving me unable to maintain steady employment. Despite my best efforts and determination to work, every employer I have had has been unable to accommodate my frequent and unpredictable absences. As a result, I have struggled to find and keep a job, which has taken a significant toll on my financial stability and overall well-being.

Over the past few years, I have visited numerous doctors and specialists, seeking answers and a cure. Unfortunately, my condition remains undiagnosed, and the treatments I have tried have not provided lasting relief. This ongoing battle has not only drained my energy but also my financial resources.

Currently, the only job I have been able to find is a restaurant's manger outside my country. I also live inside the restaurant because I am not paid well enough to rent even a small apartment. Due to my illness, I cannot work regularly, making it impossible to afford a place of my own. I sacrifice to feed my two children living in my country, who are my priority. I am forced to wait until the restaurant closes to shower in the customer bathrooms and wash my clothes.

I have realized that the only sustainable solution for my situation is to start my own business. My dream is to open a small takeout restaurant that I can run with my wife. This business model will allow us to manage the restaurant together, and on the days when I am too ill to work, my wife will be able to handle the operations. To turn this dream into reality, we need to raise $15,000 to cover the initial costs of starting the restaurant.
