From empty hands, 19 years old, my name is Le Van Phuc (currently a student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) founded the charity group Fly To Sky, bringing together students and volunteers. . After more than 4 years of operation, the group has implemented more than 15 community projects, more than 70 programs and campaigns in 19 provinces and cities across the country with a total budget of more than 8 billion VND.

Decided to set up a volunteer group at the age of 16

Since childhood, I have witnessed many difficult situations, especially when participating in small programs of family and relatives to hospitals. “That made me wonder about the desire, the desire to serve. Volunteering with myself is also a passion, I aspire to participate and contribute."

I noticed that in Gia Lai, there is no club, team or volunteer group for young people to participate in long-term volunteering activities. With the desire to create an environment for young people, especially school-age students, to participate in sustainable, professional and long-term volunteering activities, I decided to establish the Fly To Sky charity group in January. September 2, 2018 – at the age of 16. At that time, I was a student of grade 11, Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, Gia Lai.

I consider myself a reckless person in all matters. I decided to set up the charity group Fly To Sky during a National Day holiday (September 2, 2018). That afternoon, send a survey form to friends and acquaintances; That night, form a group and open an application to join. The decision was quick but I'm really happy with my choice.

As a student who initiated the establishment of a volunteer group, in the process of organizing activities, I encountered many difficulties. Because the group members are mainly between students, to ensure a balance studying and participating in social activities, organizing time is very important. How to ensure that volunteering regularly, all year round, becomes a habit of young people, not only stopping the movement, but still instructing learning.
