Virginia "Jenny" Graham is a candidate running for the WA State House of Representatives 6 Legislative open seat being vacated by Jeff Holy. Jenny is not a career politician, rather her life circumstances led her to a Legislative calling. Her sister was a murder victim of the Green River Serial Killer and sadly lost her brother as an indirect result of child abuse.

As a survivor of unspeakable abuse herself, Jenny found herself questioning why the law did not protect them from falling through the cracks of our legal system. To add insult when she was finally in a safe place both physically and mentally to face what happened, the law denied her and others a fair hand in our justice system. In 2011, she began working with Legislators, Prosecutors, Law Enforcement and other survivors to challenge and then to change the unfair law. Jenny was a tenacious driving force and worked tirelessly to bring everybody together to change the law. Her endeavor gained unanimous Legislative Bi-Partisan support as well as law enforcement and community support. Governor Inslee signed the new law into effect in 2013.

Jenny is a wife, mother, Veteran, victim’s advocate, and small business owner. She resides in Spokane WA with her family. Jenny and her family moved to Spokane in 1997, where she and her husband raised their three children.

Jenny Graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1983. She attended vocational school and became a licensed Cosmetologist/Esthetician. She enlisted into the US Army Reserves and proudly served her country. Other fields of occupations Jenny has worked in include: Restaurants, sales, Barber and Beauty, trucking, and the tire industry.

She has volunteered for her children’s schools, church, as a Cub Scout Den Mother, victim’s advocate, a registered Taekwondo martial arts instructor, and ski coach for the developmentally disabled. Throughout her life, Jenny has always been a people builder which has taken many forms.

She is excited about the opportunity to serve her neighbors in the 6th District - and will work to earn their support and trust.
