Update!!!!
Jessa is so happy all is falling into place. She has been practicing with her new team for 2 months now and next weekend January 22nd is their first tournament for the 2022 season!! Keep watch on our Facebook pages for updates! Thanks for all y’all’s support! Jessa and I are very blessed to have family and friends like you all!! Thanks again!!
Jessa is a Junior at Fremont High School here in the great state of Nebraska! GBR!! She crazy LOVES Volleyball and has ever since her late Daddy and I signed her up for her first YMCA team when we first moved to Nebraska in 2012, she was a 2nd grader. She has aspirations of attending College not sure yet where but she's pretty sure she wants to Study Early and Special Education and has big dreams of becoming a volleyball coach! Through the years she has played on many teams, leagues, club and school teams. She has made lasting friendships and has had her share of coaches all who have taught her enormous lessons she will take with her the rest of her life. I can safely say she's learned and continues to learn what kind of coach she wants to be someday!
After being connected with Coach Deb and The Volleyball Academy in Omaha for a number of years, Jessa started taking private lessons when Covid-19started. This has truly been her stabilizer, her sounding board and the push she has needed to stay in the game. Jessa has questioned her ability the last year and a half but Coach D sincerely believes in her! She is that steady force and validation that has and will continue to allow Jessa to thrive! Thank you Deb!
Jessa and I together have had many discussions over that last few years about volleyball, both good and not so good =) She made it perfectly clear that she is not giving up no matter who or what gets in her way. I have to make this happen for her! I do think it's kind of sad that in order to be seen and taken seriously as a player, this is what we have to do. Bigger Club, Bigger $ expense! There is no denying that all this will open up a whole new world of possibilities that Jessa has wanted for so long. I really want her to know she is worthy! She deserves to be the player that is finally appreciated for her dedication to the game and her commitment to her team! For me, giving her this opportunity to play at the level she knows she can be and has always wanted but never given the chance is the ultimate GOAL at this point. As of November 4th 2021 Jessa become official, she is thankfully now part of the River City Juniors 17's NAVY Club Volleyball team. She has been offered a Working Scholarship and a River City Coaching Internship Scholarship. This will help pay for the Club dues and teach her what it is like to work for what she wants to achieve. She will be an assistant coach for River City Juniors 11-12yrs old girls. I've covered the remainder of the Club dues not covered by the Scholarships and the $400.00 uniforms. Preparing now for and need to get ready for the next wave of $$'s. The things we do for our kids!!
Jessa is everything to me!! I want to make this happen for her!! It's as simple as that! I just need some help and thought maybe a few family and friends would like to contribute to her journey! We will be driving in to Omaha/La Vista (30min drive each direction) 3-5 days a week for 5 and 6 hrs at a time starting January through the end of June. Her team will be playing in 10 total tournaments 5 of which will be out of state. (Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, Kentucky and Florida). Entry fees for the out of state tourneys total $1365.00. If any of you out there want to help me help my sweet Jessa get through this super huge time in her life, I would be forever grateful. If not, I 100% understand!!! These are hard times and I get it! Thanks to those who have already contributed, I very much appreciate your kindness and seeing the vision for Jessa. Thanks in advance! I will keep everyone updated on my Facebook page, with pictures, schedules and highlights so you can see where this big adventure takes us. Being a Seely is always an Adventure! =)
Sending tons of Hello's, Hugs and Love to ALL here in Nebraska and out there many miles away! Happy Holidays and thank you for your time.
Your daddy would be proud of you Jessa!!
