Your donation will be matched (up to $2,000) and 100% of the money raised will go directly to the Digital Media Class at Vidor High School to update and replace their cameras, lights, mics, etc. Thank you!
My name is Matthew Moore and I’m a filmmaker in Austin Texas. I grew up in this great little tiny town of Vidor Texas.
Being from a small town has its perks, like…I was able to play varsity basketball despite my size and skills.
There are also some difficult things about growing up in a small town. I didn’t have access to the cameras, lenses, microphones…things that could have introduced me to filmmaking much earlier in my life.
I think it would have kept me out of trouble and given me something to channel my energy and efforts towards.
In fact, I didn’t pick up a camera until I was 27.
I can’t help but wonder where I would be at in my career if I had had the opportunity, the tools and space to create videos when I was in high school.
So, I’m asking you to help me give that opportunity to high school students in Vidor. Because, not only are they lacking the camera gear they need, but some of it was destroyed in the recent hurricanes and floods that have devastated my hometown over the last few years.
Please consider making a donation of $10, $20, however much you can. Just click on the donate button here or here or wherever it is…
My company is going to match up to $2,000 so we can make sure these talented students have the right gear to make the creative things in their mind a reality.
Thanks for your time and for your donation. See ya.
