Victory for Vicky!

Dear Friends, this campaign is one near and dear to my heart. 

 I have never done one of these and hope never to have to do another for this reason. I am asking everyone to please consider giving anything you can to this beautiful, gentle and principled family who I have known personally for a decade. They are bravely walking the unspeakably difficult path of brain cancer therapies for their sweet daughter Vicky. I wish they could simply get her the care she needs and continue on with life as usual, but it is not like this at all. Life's daily schedule hangs on a split-second decision of a physician, one blood test, excruciating pain, and the last-minute reorganization of everyone. There can be no planning ahead, ever. They rely on the grace and love of extended family. They drive hundreds of miles each week. What can one say about an employer who would let go an employee, a parent, who spent "too much time" in the care of his hospital-bound child? This is their reality. Right now the basics of life are dear and help has been difficult to get from the usual sources. And then, just in this past week, after an hours-long ride back from the hospital for yet another treatment, the family car experienced a flat tire and damage to its shocks. Enough already. Today is the holiday of Purim in the Jewish calendar. In the book of Esther which we read twice, nowhere is God's name mentioned. Therein is the quintessential idea that God can create the finest miracles through people, folks just like us. So, today, please help make a miracle by lifting the financial burden for this family. I would consider it a personal favor and appreciate any amount you can offer.
