United Cajun Navy is attempting to locate any space heaters in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. The posted map shows the extremely dangerous freezing temperatures currently being experienced across those states. Factor this with the over 2 Million residents that currently do not have power its a very serious situation. United Cajun Navy has generators and gasoline but lacks the heaters to deploy for those in need. IF you have a heater that you can offer please let us know by by our website: www.TheCajunNavy.org or our Facebook www.Facebook.com/UnitedCajunNavy
All funds received 2/15 through 2/18 will go towards Amazon Prime orders for Blankets and Heaters for this Winter Emergency.
United Cajun Navy is asking for everyone to share this post! We are actively searching for Zeb Hughes, 21, and Gunner Palmer, 16, who went missing after launching their boat in the waters for a duck hunting trip in Mississippi. We have boats and also airplanes donating time to help us with the search. Its amazing how our community both near and far can come together behind our organization to help people in need.
United Cajun Navy has a very special story for you. While providing meals, supplies and other needs to Louisiana hurricane victims we came across a family that has really touched our hearts. If you did not catch us on the news (Channel 9 WAFB) Please check out the article below.
Please donate to help United Cajun Navy bring this child along with many more a very special Christmas.
I would like to personally thank all of The Lost Cajun Supporters! You guys are truly wonderful. United Cajun Navy is still seeing about 3,000 people in need a day at our supply center in Lake Charles LA (2401 6th Street) We are in need of dry food, ice and water for this area. We are also looking for someone that would be willing to donate transportation from Lake Charles to New Orleans. We have a hotel that is without power from the most recent storm which was housing elderly that have been evacuated from SW Louisiana. This would require a flat bed trailer to move and weighs about 8,000 pounds. If anyone can help with that please let me know!
Thanks to the Lost Cajun for selecting us as the national charity of choice. Here are some of the common images our ground volunteers are running into. I hope this gives all our sponsors and donors an idea of what is occurring in this area and the type of clean up that is underway by United Cajun Navy and other organizations in the area.
