Update #9

United Cajun Navy has began getting much needed supplies out to those impacted by the storm. We are looking for any supplies to be sent to 11075 Airline Drive in Baton Rouge, LA. We are sending out trucks from this location as we clear ways south.

Our teams have cut roadways clear to Houma, LA and have done several water rescues thus far. Due to limited cell service our teams are delayed with reporting back on rescues and relief efforts.

We are in need of generators, chainsaws (18 inch or greater) 40:1 and 50:1 gasoline, tarps, nails, hammers and water! Ice and Water are a must! Anyone with ice chests that they want to donate please reach out to us ASAP!

United Cajun Navy has generators and gasoline but lacks the heaters to deploy for those in need. IF you have a heater that you can offer please let us know by by our website: www.TheCajunNavy.org or our Facebook www.Facebook.com/UnitedCajunNavy

All funds received 2/15 through 2/18 will go towards Amazon Prime orders for Blankets and Heaters for this Winter Emergency.

Update #6

United Cajun Navy is asking for everyone to share this post! We are actively searching for Zeb Hughes, 21, and Gunner Palmer, 16, who went missing after launching their boat in the waters for a duck hunting trip in Mississippi. We have boats and also airplanes donating time to help us with the search. Its amazing how our community both near and far can come together behind our organization to help people in need.

Update #2

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I want to thank everyone for donating so far and for supporting The Lost Cajun and United Cajun Navy!

United Cajun Navy is still seeing about 3,000 people in need a day at our supply center in Lake Charles LA (2401 6th Street) We are in need of dry food, ice and water for this area. We are also looking for someone that would be willing to donate transportation from Lake Charles to New Orleans. We have a hotel that is without power from the most recent storm which was housing elderly that have been evacuated from SW Louisiana. This would require a flat bed trailer to move and weighs about 8,000 pounds. If anyone can help with that please let me know!

Update #1

Thanks to the Lost Cajun for selecting us as the national charity of choice. Here are some of the common images our ground volunteers are running into. I hope this gives all our sponsors and donors an idea of what is occurring in this area and the type of clean up that is underway by United Cajun Navy and other organizations in the area.
