T/w/een Squad - Summer Campaign

I have a 16yo son with ADHD and with the pandemic and virtual schooling, I noticed changes with him, including social isolation.  It broke my heart to see him be so lonely. When I talked to other moms I heard similar concerns along with increases in other behavioral issues  such as angry outbursts, depression/anxiety, difficulty staying focused with online schooling and falling grades.  I recently read a study that 75% of teens with ADHD/ADD have experienced an increase in their ADHD symptoms during the pandemic and this fit the experience of what we were seeing in our homes.  Something had to be done! 

T/w/een Squad was born to provide fun virtual activities to help these kids connect and to enjoy themselves.  No demands or nagging parents (that would be me :)  - just all around fun!  Help take their minds of what ever is going on and allow them to be kids. 

This fundraising campaign is also meant to allow families who may have been impacted by the current economic situation to participate at a level they are comfortable with.  Everyone pays what they are able to or nothing at all.

Currently, I am fundraising for 2 things:

- Virtual Murder Mystery Zoom Party ($350)

This will be our end of school year big blowout celebration.   A professional actor will play detective and our teens get to be suspects with scripts (and some can be by-standers). This will provide 2 hrs of non stop clue finding mystery solving action that is quaranteed to be a crowd pleaser with these kids.

- Roblox Event ($100)

A third party provider will work with my group and play Robloxs.  They will learn coding, increase skill level and have fun with their friends.

- Fortnite Event ($100)

Our favorite facilitator will work with the group to incerse skill level in this fun multiplayer game.  He will prepare a challenge for the group and they will have a chance to make their own.
