Trying to Visit Machu Picchu in Peru

Trying to Visit Machu Picchu in Peru

From Emily Vickers

I am visiting Peru after my study abroad in Bolivia. Justifiably, it costs almost $300 for the cheapest way to visit Machu Picchu. I have plane tickets and a cheap hostel. Please help me get from Cusco to Machu Picchu!

More Info

My study abroad trip ends Dec 17th. I am taking a cheap bus from La Paz, Bolivia to Cusco, Peru overnight. I am staying in a hostel thats less than $10 a night with free breakfast! The travel costs from Cusco to see Machu Picchu are a lot. Taxis, trains, taxis, entrance fees, extra costs to see each mountain, etc. I wish I could pick up some shifts and save up money really quick, but I am overseas. I appreciate you giving me the time to consider donating. After Cusco, I fly to Lima, Peru for a couple of days to hang on the beach (it's summer down here!) Then I am flying to LA on Dec 24 and taking a train to San Diego to finally visit my best friend from the Air Force who I havent seen in like 7 years. Please help me travel safely (I'll hitchhike, don't make me do it, hahaha).

You can donate and I'll be like, "Thanks that was really nice of you!" or just say, "Hey Emily--> you can pay me back when you get home and start working again. Consider this a loan!" I love both of these. I love you if you say, "Hey I don't want to or can't give you money but good luck!" Thanks everyone.

I will be giving a presentation of my study abroad trip and my perspective of climate change impacts around the world  and cool pics of my trip at the Green Country Sierra Club February meeting, so come by! I hope I get to add Machu Picchu to my slides! Last Thursday of the month, Feb 28. (Or you can tell me to come over and present to you in a private showing, haha).

^^ this site shows me the cheapest way to visit Machu Picchu.
