The marker passed $100,000! Having the resources to do our work is a great feeling; knowing we have your support and the support of so many others feels even better. Thank You!

Betty White believes in what we are doing - our drought defense of trees - and she urged me to challenge others to step up and help. She pledges that she will match every $1 you give, up to $100,000.
When I met with her, she listened to our plans for all we are doing to save trees in the city and mountain woodlands and then said, with concern and urgency in her voice, "This is so serious, my donation won't be enough! Please ask others who care like I do to support all the work TreePeople needs to do. After all you are doing us a great service!"
Our drought defense strategy, outlined here, will be effective but expensive! $200,000 is needed and we do not have it in our budget!
Our staff and volunteers are hard at work with city and county agencies to find innovative ways to keep trees alive. We are enlisting thousands of people to care for trees on streets, parks and in the mountains so they survive this punishing drought.
Drought defense is hard and urgent work that must be done to save our trees because there is no life without them. Can I count on you?
