We are raising money to expand services to new locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. As the homeless count increases so much our reach.
The San Francisco Bay Area is experiencing a housing crisis. Each day that a person is forced to sleep out on the streets due to the waitlists on shelter beds being in the thousands, is a day closer to developing mental health and addiction struggles. Our organization is focused on working with the "untouchables" in our community in order to help with the physical and mental pains that result from sleeping on the street. We partner with 14 other non-profits in order to provide free services to over 16 different sites including the mobile harm reduction outreach team, Larkin Street Youth, Hospitality House, Gubbio Project, Martin De Porres House of Hospitality, etc.
The other day I worked with a 21 year old youth in the community who was experiencing homelessness and he informed me that he had not been touched in a loving way since he was 17.
A few weeks ago a client told me that for the first time in years he was able to access his heart. That he had built up so many walls the last few years that he had not even known that he could still access that part of himself.
Another client told me that she felt we were the only people in the world who actually cared that she was alive.
These are just a few of the stories that have been shared with us.
Be a part of the healing of this great city. Help us reach those in our community who have nobody else in their corner.
