30 per cent of trans respondents who had a job reported being fired, denied a promotion, or experiencing mistreatment in the workplace. Our purpose is to improve recruitment for trans and gender diverse people.
The trans employment program has helped a number of trans and gender diverse people already. Apart from a few generous donations, the program has been entirely funded out of my own pocket for the past nearly 2 years. Demand continues to grow. I receive continual requests for help. Funds raised to date through consulting with employers have not covered costs. A typical request is re-produced below-

I am sure discrimination plays a part in this. She lives in XXXX which is not the most open and accepting of cities.
