Thanks so much to those who helped me reach my 25% milestone!! Your investment will not be wasted. Every dollar will go to supporting our NGOs operational efficiency and competencies.

Please continue to help us in supporting our Rainforest and those who fight to protect it!

About Me

I think everyone is aware of the climate crisis, we all want to make behavioral and societal changes to fight it - and it's clear we've made progress!

I don't think everyone knows the full extent of the impact, though.  And I don't think the NGOs standing up to fight the crisis, especially in our rainforests, are being given all the tools to succeed.

The key to winning is education, meaning (1) raising awareness of the climate crisis' effect on the globe, our ecosystems, and our daily lives, and (2) giving training, materials, and tools to those in the field in order to empower them to better preserve our forests for future generations.

To accomplish (1), I'm doing everything I can, when I can, where I can to educate others on the issues and what they can do to avert and/or re-mediate them.  To accomplish (2), I’ve joined 9 of my DocuSign colleagues to partner with Team4Tech and the Rainforest Trust to deliver training and consulting services to the various NGOs operating in South America to preserve the Amazon Rainforest.  These NGOs engage in many different projects and programs that tackle the various threats to vegetation, animal life, and indigenous peoples who depend on the Amazon as shelter and life support.

Education is the most powerful means to empower others, and it will help Amazon NGOs to achieve their goals.  If you have a skill that provides value to others or to society and you pass that down to others, then the realizable value of that skill multiplies and therefore can impact more people for the better.

I look forward to passing down my knowledge and skills to the people who roll their sleeves up to save our forests - they can use all the help they can get.  We ask that you support us in our mission - donate $20 today (or more) to empower us to empower NGOs in South America in November.

Your contribution will make a lasting and powerful impact on those who fight to preserve our planet.

More Info

We are a team of 10 DocuSign employees participating in a project to support Rainforest Trust in Ecuador this November 2019.

Since 1988, Rainforest Trust has protected more than 20 million acres of tropical habitat across Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific and has projects underway that will protect an additional 28 million to achieve their goal of 50 million acres by the end of 2020. Their work is based upon building lasting partnerships with local conservation organizations to develop and implement science-based sustainable solutions for permanent protection.

The objective of the DocuSign / Team4Tech / Rainforest Trust collaboration is for DocuSign employees to design and deliver capacity-building workshops to a group of Rainforest Trust's nonprofit partners from Ecuador and neighboring countries. To set the stage for these workshops, volunteers will help partner NGOs determine strengths and weaknesses, understand potential gap areas, and identify opportunities for growth and financial stability.

The DocuSign volunteers will then deliver workshops on human resources, finance, accounting, technology, and fundraising. The team will package the content into an online toolkit so that it can be replicated, giving Rainforest Trust a framework to support its partners throughout the world. This replicable train-the-trainer program would teach attendees how to conduct future assessments, how to help organizations with basic planning, and how to find resources for gap areas.
