Julia here! I wanted to share more about the Lord's story over Chase and I's life.

A beautiful thing Chase and I continue to learn is our reliance on the Lord & His Spirit. We have gotten several questions like, "How did you know this is what the Lord is calling y'all to?" Chase and I were both asking ourselves the same question when we felt a nudge to spend two months in Africa this prior summer. Before this summer, we were both in the same boat. We both had a heavy desire to do something for the Kingdom of God but had no idea what our part in that looked like.

This summer the Lord completely wrecked our hearts for Him. Chase and I began an intimacy with the Lord we did not know the Lord desired  to have with us. We began to read through the Word of God as if it was the first time. We began to see the severity and urgency of the Gospel. We began to understand God's love. Piece by piece, the Lord began chipping away our false ideas of Him. And piece by piece, the Lord began taking away things we were never meant to carry or struggle with. All by the blood of Jesus Christ.

To go back to the question, "How did you know the Lord was calling y'all to missions?" It is a simple answer. Prayer. Here is the thing with that, we prayed for what God wanted us to do for His Kingdom. And He so graciously showed us the next step. He did not show us a whole layout of our lives. If He did that we would not need to continue to lean on Him. So yes, we believe the Lord answered when we asked Him if we were suppose to go back to Africa. We believe He answered when we asked Him if we were suppose to get married. Yes, we do see ourselves moving to Africa full time as our ministry but currently we see that and we are continuing to pray until we hear the next step.

Is it that simple? In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 it says, "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." Three things that God says is the will for our life because of the blood of Jesus Christ. Rejoice, pray without ceasing, and give thanks. We have and will fail at this, but that is where His grace covers us. All He requires from us really, is complete faith in Him and because of that faith we humbly obey.

With all of that being said, Chase and I know His Spirit is taking us back to Africa right after getting married. We will be gone for about four months from early May 2020 to late August 2020. We are very excited to be working with a new ministry from friends we made this past summer. The ministry is called African Freedom Mission. https://www.africafreedommission.org/mission

During our time back, we will be in Zimbabwe. We will be trained in the Word of God and teach other missionaries the same way. We will be going around to the surrounding villages to teach the Word of God while offering prayer and community.

For Chase and I to go this summer, we need $12,850 with flights and accommodations. This money will not be used for anything but ministry. But the most valuable thing we need is prayer. Prayer for guidance, protection, and wisdom.

Thank you for reading more about His story for our life. Thank you for your prayers and donations.

With love,

Julia & Chase (soon to be Mrs. & Mr. Foltyn!)
