Ever since I can remember, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta have been there for me. I always think about them and their impact on my life, and I tend to think about them a lot during the holidays. While I was a member, the Club, always found a way to help out numerous families, mine included, during Thanksgiving by giving out baskets of food or helping out during Christmas, by giving gifts to children or parents so everyone would have something to open on Christmas morning. When college came around, once again the Club was there. To celebrate all this and to honor the place that has helped me out for more than 16 years, in 2020, I will be starting a new scholarship foundation! (The scholarship itself will have a different name, but that’s a surprise, which will be announced in May). So this holiday season, I hope you find it in your heart to donate to this cause. The scholarship will be given out in May to teens that are in need of extra funds for college and have a focus on the sciences.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please remember that any amount is helpful and that money is not the only way to contribute to this cause. You can share this link and help me spread the word. Another way is by sending me some tips that you found helpful when you were starting out college such as: apply to every scholarship out there, every bit helps.
