It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that the Clayshire Cup Clash 2020 will not be able to occur. The Misfit Magicians have strived for the last five months to raise the funds needed to secure this magical location, but it appears it just wasn't meant to be.
We appreciate all the love and support we've gotten from our fellow Misfits while we tried to raise the funds, and for those of you who donated, we want to make sure those donations are returned. Over the next few weeks, we will be reaching out to you to discuss the best method to return those funds.

The Misfit Magicians
The Misfit Magicians started as a small group of friends with a love for Harry Potter, and all things whimsical and magical. Over the past six years, we have expanded and grown to share our passion with our friends and family. What started as an intimate gathering in our apartment living room has grown into an event which sparks excitement year-round for our followers. As we continued to grow, we realized that our little party was something much more magical than our tiny space could contain. Almost as soon as our annual Harry Potter party was incepted, we knew we wanted to aim high.
In 2015, we thought we had landed a permanent home for our enchanting event at the Garfield Park Eatery and Cafe, and for two years it was the definition of magical. The staff at the Garf were the most supportive and friendly partners we could hope to have, and our annual event was enabled to flourish. But fate had other plans, and in 2017, the Café closed. Since then, we have been searching high and low for a new home, and we think you're going to be very pleased with what we've found.
We have partnered with the wonderful mundanes at Clayshire Castle to weave a few extra charms into the bewitching bed & breakfast’s already spellbinding stones in order to create an atmosphere of witchery and whimsy beyond compare! In order to bring our vision to life, we now need your help.
We are offering the opportunity to come enjoy this fantastical place with us on the 30th of May, 2020. We’ve begun to plan a full-day House Cup Clash including trivia, a scavenger hunt, obstacle courses, and for a few very dedicated supporters, a secretive evening event that will include dining, mischief, and mystery. And maybe a dash of mayhem.
But castles aren’t free, nor are the spells we need to cast and potions we have to brew. That’s why we turn to you. This year’s Clash will be a ticketed event, with room for just under 100 witches, wizards, mundanes, and junior magicians. Be warned, however, these pesky tickets are charmed with the flying charm and have been known to disapparate without warning, so grab your wand (and your galleons) and grab them quick because they’ll be flying off before you can say immobulus! (Muggle coin is also accepted).
Once tickets have all been claimed, this crowdfunding page will be sealed away in our specially curated Gringott’s Vault, but don’t be disheartened! Towards the start of term, keep an eye out for a second crowdfunding endeavor with all sorts of extra treats and trinkets, like hand-carved wands by our very own Wandmaker, sweets from the Honeydukes trolley, Butterbeer brew drink tokens for the night of the event, and so much more!

It's not too late to get tickets to the Clayshire Cup Clash!
For those of you who still may be uncertain, or are looking for more information, the Clayshire Cup Clash is an *all-ages* event we would love to host at Clayshire Castle in Bowling Green, IN. The Castle is a locally-owned bed and breakfast with a beautiful view of the surrounding woodlands.
With the expanded space, we have begun planning a slew of new and exciting activities, like a three-course obstacle race that witches and wizards with a little quidditch skill might find particularly interesting! Our Ron Weasley-esque friends may also be intrigued by the life-size (or close to it) chess board designed to mimic Wizard's Chess!
We will also be bringing back some of the usual favorites, including some Honeydukes treats, a Trivia contest, and a Scavenger Hunt designed to make you feel like you are partaking in real Hogwarts lessons!
Finally, for one of the twenty lucky Prefects, we are hoping to create an immersive experience as you join us for a Murder-Mystery-style evening where you help us unravel secrets and enjoy the castle's atmosphere after dark! Further details will be available regarding this event in the future.
