We are raising money for equipment, and set up cost for The Medical Outreach Clinic Inc. a non profit incorporation that will be providing free medical services to patients within the 200% of federal poverty limit. These services are NOT for those with insurance or Medicaid, it is for the people in the middle who may not have a budget for medical care or have had employment change or low income, for example a family of 4 may have an income of $50,000 they would qualify for free medical care at our office. This is a safety net physician care office. Our services will include physician exams, therapy, radiology, ultrasound imaging and lab work ups. We are located in Fort Pierce Florida in a 4820sq foot building that has 15 medical exam rooms. We have many expenses that need to be covered such as electricity, phone, internet, general liability insurance. We need all contents of a functional medical facility, computers, software for electronic medical record keeping, exam tables, refrigerators, blood pressure cuffs, scales, gloves, bio hazard services, furniture, etc. All donations will be used for these purposes and are greatly appreciated.
At this point we have incorporated, have gotten EIN number, selected location, state approved us for solicitation of donations, medical providers on board have been provided sovereign immunity contract from the Department of Health, we have our county license ($13.78) we are also zoned in the City limits we had to pay ($75.00) for zoning that is scheduled for 6/19/2019. We are looking to get 4 new fire extinguishers and tag them estimated to be $300.00 so we can pass that, then we will have to have a fire inspection as well for $145.00 and the pay for our city license which is estimated to be $81.86. We need still to have the electric and water turned on in our name which we will have to pay a deposit on that is an estimated $400.00. The office needs phone and internet services as well and that is estimated to be about $2400.00 a year or 200.00 a month. We have a yearly bio waste pick up expense of an estimated $600.00. We also will need to have general liability before we can open the doors to the public that is estimated to be $1200.00 a year, or we can put a down payment and pay monthly installments. Down payment may be somewhere about $400.00. We need at least 4 computers to start off with estimated at $1,400.00. That's only giving 1 for the front desk, one for patient qualifying, 1 for the doctor to do the patient soap notes and one for the Medical Assistant to do patient vital/ note input. A multi line phone system estimated at 300.00. Exam tables we need at least 2 we should be able to pick up 2 used ones for about 2300.00. We also need a 12 lead EKG machine with paper and leads about $600.00. Blood pressure cuffs estimated at $150.00. Otoscope and thermometers estimated at $300.00. Medical scale estimated at 200.00. These are just some of the immediate expenses that need to be covered this is not including rent as this is covered for the next few months, employment expenses to supervise the operations, we have some volunteers but are still needing more. Also this does not cover the labs and imaging service expenses for the patients that will also need to be funded. We do have some great lab service prices and have set up the account for our office so even a little can go a long way but as you may know this too takes resources.
