From Pratishtha Khanna

I am fundraising to be able to pay the tuition for my last semester as a college undergrad so that I am able to graduate.

I am a first generation Asian American! Always supported by my parents in terms of education, I have been blessed to have had the chance to pursue my dream of one day attending medical school to give back to the world by traveling to parts of the world that are in the need of medical help.

However, in June 2013, tragedy struck. My mother suffered a major brain hemmorhage that left her unable to work. It has been almost a year since my mother has been able to work. My younger brother and I have been doing our best to support my father with the household expenses as I work part time as a student on campus (University of Maryland, Baltimore County) and my brother, a high school senior works part time on Fridays and Saturdays.

This semester, due to my father being unable to support my education expenses, I have been working hard and dividing my earning in household expenses and tuition fees. I was able to pay alittle less than $1,500 in tutition. As graduation nears', I am tormented by the thought that if I am unable to pay my tuition by April 20th, I risk the chance of graduating as my graduation is contingent on paying the tuition fees.

I really appreciate you reading my story and pitching in my graduation fund, even if it means to have me in your prayes!
