Jordan and I have been friends since freshman year of college and now we like running marathons. November 24th we are running the Route 66 Marathon in Tulsa, OK and are fundraising for The Children's SPOT in Kansas City
Last year I ran my first marathon in Kansas City and spent the months of training as a way of raising funds for The Children's SPOT. The SPOT (speech, occupational, physical therapy) offers rehabilitory services to children in Kansas City and the surrounding areas.
A large portion of what this incredible organization does is that it offers financial assistance to families who would otherwise be unable to provide this high level of care to their children. The SPOT is able to provide this assistance primarily through donations and fundraising efforts such as this.
So, this year I am teaming up with my best friend Jordan as we are training for the Route 66 Marathon in Tulsa, OK.
Jordan and I went pot-luck freshman year of college and have remained friends ever since. Since graduating we have held a common love of running, and for some reason, running marathons. In what will be my 2nd, and his 3rd, marathon we want to use our training as a means of doing good by aiding such a marvelous organization in the SPOT.
The marathon is November 24th, which allows a little over a month for you all to help us make a difference in the lives of some deserving kiddos! Thank you!
