“America is deeply rooted in Negro culture: it's colloquialisms, its humor, it's music. How ironic that the Negro, who more than any other people can claim America’s culture as his own, is being persecuted and repressed, that the Negro, who has exemplified the humanities in his very existence, is being rewarded with inhumanity.” -Sonny Rollins (saxophonist)

Please join me this Sunday, May 31st on IG Live @brianachele to express my power, sadness, joy, appreciation and grief the best way that I know how- through music. I will be doing a set called The Black Power Mixtape at 2pm EST raising money for the @BlackVisionsCollective , a Minnesota based organization actively working to achieve black liberation in real life in real time. Our family friends, Julie and Scott Moorehead are happy to match the total of donations received up to $5,000 so let's try to maximize our gift!
