The Asian Gold Ribbon campaign compels social change and raises funds to develop accessible, integrative, and meaningful Asian Mental Health Services across Canada.
The Asian Gold Ribbon Campaign (AGR) is a platform developed to reflect awareness and solidarity, initiating wide-spread visibility against anti-Asian racism through representation, visibility, voice, and education. We stand together to support healing, amplify Asian voices, and educate to raise awareness. We celebrate the beauty of the Asian culture and heritage and unite in solidarity against all forms of racism.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Asians have experienced elevated racial discrimination, and these experiences predict ongoing mental health struggles. The shortage of integrated Asian mental health services in Canada is problematic.
Funds raised will contribute to Asian Gold Ribbon initiatives as well development of programs to destigmatize mental health; and to advance integrated mental health programs and services for Asian youth, seniors, and community members, and those affected by anti-Asian racism.
