Lindsay is community.
She is tireless in her pursuit for justice.
She reminds us that Lashaya Stine is still missing and Black girls get trafficked.
She has been organizing rallies, meetings and protests to demand justice for Elijah McClain and his family since the beginning, in the summer of 2019.
She worked hard on Omar's election.
She coaches girls to pursue their dreams in track and field.
She shows up whenever and wherever there is a community need for justice and a voice to be heard.
She paid a physical price for her activism in a protest in May when police hit her in the face with a flash bang. She has been having on going dental, jaw and head aches. She has had some work done but there is more work and healing to that needs to happen.
In her words "So when my jaw was swollen it caused two of my glands to get infected. That infection has spread so I have to get a root canal to get the infection that settled in my upper jaw. Then I either have to get a bridge or an implant to keep the two teeth around the extracted tooth from becoming problems."
She has allowed me to reach out and get support for her dental work. Can you dig deep and help someone who will show up every time when others are in need?
