Christians in Pakistan are the poorest minority group, representing about 1.6% of the country’s overwhelmingly Muslim population. Christians in Pakistan are oppressed, persecuted and the majority of them remain in bondage to generational poverty.
We at Light on a Lamp Stand believe that it is God's heart to break His people out of bondage and bring them into a destiny of freedom. The key the Lord gave us for this is quality Education.
About Light On A Lamp Stand
Light On A Lamp Stand is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2014. We are a small group of believers who want to make a difference in God’s kingdom. Our mission is to help Christians in Pakistan to overcome poverty and oppression by providing them with quality education enabling them to rise up and come into their God given destinies.
What We're Doing
The Lord has just recently given us our own independent small school in the heart of Islamabad. We rented a 2 bedroom portion of a small house in a Christian slum area and immediately saw an influx of parents that wanted their young children to join the school. The 2 small rooms can accomodate a maximum of 30 children, we already have these 30 children and more on a waiting list. We have 6 full time staff serving the school.
Please pray for us and support us so that we are able to move the school to a spacier and cleaner building.
