Far too many adolescent and teenage boys do not have a positive Mentor in their lives.  That is, someone who provides them wisdom, guidance, and support related to their maturation and transition to adulthood.  As a result, many of them are lost. They don’t achieve in school. They do not go to college.  They don’t create positive and healthy relationships. In short, they won’t make wise choices for their lives—which has a negative ripple effect on their surroundings. Simply stated, our boys are falling short of their potential which leads to low self-esteem, delinquency, and a proliferation of other risk factors that drag families and communities down.

But we can do something about this! The Enlightened Mentor Project will provide a foundation for our young boys and teenagers to grow into successful and highly contributing adults.  But we can’t do it without you! Help us by donating to the #MentorTEM2020 project which provides life-enabling programs to our boys. Every dollar you give helps us to:

  • Build & deliver life skills workshops
  • Provide academic tutoring and college preparation services
  • Administer 1-on-1 and group mentoring.

These are services our at-risk adolescent and teenage boys desperately need. Without them, they won’t have much chance to overcome their existing circumstances, nor will they have the opportunities to achieve the levels of success that ultimately transform lives, turn around families, and improve the viability of our communities.  Let’s start now and create this future together!
