Irvine Public Schools Foundation's (IPSF) mission is to ensure that every child, in every school, has the opportunities and resources to succeed and become their absolute best, benefitting them and the entire Irvine community. We achieve this by providing financial support and enrichment programs for the students of the Irvine Unified School District. IPSF believes that effective community support is needed to provide the best educational opportunities for our children. When you make an investment through IPSF, you're making a statement. That you won't settle for mediocre education in your community. That your children deserve the best. Founded in 1996 by concerned parents and community leaders of Irvine, IPSF raises money to improve Irvine public schools. It pays for teachers and other educators whose positions the state of California does not fund or require but our parents and educators consider necessary for a quality education. IPSF’s role has evolved from providing limited educational enhancements, at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars, to funding critical educational programs at a cost of more than $4 million annually. IPSF currently pays for classroom support so our children can enjoy reasonable class sizes, science and reading enrichment, music teachers and assistants, college and career counselors, nurses and health clerks among other programs. IPSF’s volunteer board of directors consists of parents, community members, and business leaders from the Irvine community. Irvine Public Schools Foundation is a California non-profit, public benefit, corporation. It is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The federal tax ID number for the foundation (EIN) is 33-0733191. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
The Irvine Public Schools Foundation is the only organization in Irvine entrusted and charged with the mission of raising funds on behalf of every school and student in Irvine– elementary, middle and high school. Through our annual campaign, house raffle and fundraising programs, the funds we raise benefit every Irvine Unified School District student, every day of the week. With the current economic climate, the need has become acute. It is clear that the lack of state funding for education is no longer a temporary crisis. It’s one that may result in permanent damage to the quality of our children’s education. IPSF is playing a greater role in our school funding than at any time in our 14 year past. This year, the stakes are even higher, as state funding continues to leave our school budgets in tatters. Please, give to the Annual Appeal as generously as you can. With your donations we can continue to meet the needs of our children for the years to come.
Your gift will help IPSF continue in our mission to insure that every child, in every school, has the opportunities to succeed and become their absolute best. While donations in any amount are welcomed and appreciated, we suggest that families in the Irvine Unified School District donate $365 per year, or $1 per day to help maintain the excellence of an IUSD education. Currently, the City of Irvine matches donations dollar for dollar through a challenge grant, doubling the impact of your donation. To express our gratitude to our donors, donations of $100 or more will be recognized in our Annual Report, unless you request to remain anonymous.
