2018! This is it, our final big Olympic push and our goal is to both be representing Team USA in PeyongChang.
First of all, Thank You. If you are on this page you are already a fan and supporter of Team Gregg and have been a part of an amazing success story from Caitlin's historic 6th place at the 2010 Olympic Team Sprint in Vancouver, BC. The making of our official partnership through our marriage in 2011. Caitlin and Scott Johnston coaching Brian to the 2014 Olympic Team. The struggles and challenges in the journey are what makes the success truly great and that has never been proven more than when Caitlin turned the sad news of not being named to the 2014 Olympic team into winning a historic Bronze medal at the 2015 FIS World Championships in the 10km Freestyle.
The 2018 Olympics feature the return of the 10/15 km Freestyle to a major Championships and that is the focus for us. The Team USA women are also strong medal contenders for the 4 x 5km relay and Caitlin is looking to be a part of the Olympic Relay team's success.
Where are the funds going?
We are on the road for most of November - March. Throughout our careers we have been extremely calculated in our training, racing and expenses, altitude camps, plane travel, car rentals, elite nutrition, gym memberships and ski service costs add up quickly especially as we look at what is going to help us find those few more seconds out on the race course.
Neither Brian or Caitlin is a member of the National Team, although our goal is to join them for World Cups and the Olympics. When we join the team we come as guests and must provide our own coaching, wax support and cover our own expenses. It is a tough challenge to find international success outside of the National Team but we have shown that it is possible (Caitlin's Bronze World Championship Medal).
How can you help? Help us make our dreams come true. Make a donation, follow us as a supporter and share our story and cause. You will be supporting our training and racing expenses and helping to make our community stronger. We have relied on community support and our sponsors throughout our incredible journey and that is why you will see we prioritize giving back our community ourselves.
