Help me raise awareness and education for childhood cancer/rare diseases!!! Together with my mom, we are hosting this fundraiser to help fund the Krishnan Family Foundation. The Krishnans are family friends and have been affected by childhood cancer, not once, but TWICE! They lost their young daughter, and still today continue their fight for their teenage son. As part of his fight, they spend a great deal of time at UNC Chapel Hill Children's Hospital, as well as Boston Children's Hospital. Having a child that is medically fragile/complex is hard, VERY hard - financially, emotionally and mentally. In the midst of all that, they have chosen to honor their children by starting the Krishnan Family Foundation to create awareness and education about genetic cancer and other rare childhood diseases. It is estimated that 13.7 million children will be diagnosed with cancer between 2020 and 2050. And, of that, 45% will go undiagnosed 11.1 million will die if no further investments for interventions are made. Forty-Five percent - undiagnosed!! That's where awareness and education come in!!
