As an individual, in a country worlds away, I have felt almost powerless to make a significant difference in the lives of those suffering from the crisis of war in Ukraine.
Just this week, I realized that sharing my skills as a teacher of Zentangle, a meditative art form, could provide peace and support in several ways. In offering to teach classes and create materials, I could achieve two goals. I can spread more calm and inner peace to those who join the classes and use the materials AND donate my teaching time to raise funds to send to Ukraine.
I’ve spent most of the day researching, choosing Heart to Heart International (https://www.hearttoheart.org/ukraine-crisis/_), and developing ideas and materials. The practicalities of sharing the information (and posting the classes on my site) can barely keep pace with my ideas. It’s been gratifying work.
I hope you will join me in giving to this campaign, tangling with me, and more… I have a few more ideas up my sleeve. I’ll keep you posted!
