Our precious Chihuahua, Talon, has Patella Luxation on both of her tiny knees! Meaning that her knee caps are popping in and out, and one won't even go back in! She needs this surgey ASAP to prevent further damage.
We've hit 10% of our goal ya'll! To thank you - here's a puppy picture of our baby <3
Talon came to my Fiance and I four years ago as a 3 week old abandoned puppy weighing just 56 ounces! Recently Talon began holding up her back left leg periodically. Our veterinarian diagnosed Talon with Luxating Patella in BOTH of her back knees. Her left knee is a grade 3/4 and her right knee 2/4. This is bad news for our baby because this requires surgery to fix (both at the same time!) She will have this surgery March 12th, and it will be a long road to recovery including; Cold Laser Therapy, Physical Rehabilitation, many assisted potty trips and LOTS of love and attention! Of course, modern medicine is expensive, so we expect the bill to be $3,000 at the very least. Nathan and I are getting married this September, along with HIS OWN surgery the very same week of Talon's, so we are in need of your help! If you are able to donate for our little girls care we would be forever grateful. Talon thanks you for your kind thoughts towards her recovery. She's one tough cookie!
Thank you for all who have donated towards Talon's surgery! The surgeon is going to operate mid-day this up coming Tuesday. In the meantime poor Talon is on bed-rest to prevent any damage she my cause by trying to run, jump and play. She's currently only going outside for quick potty (plus I'll hold her out there to cheer her up) and she's back in her cage for all meals and rest. Soon she will need much more assistance once she can't use BOTH of her back legs! I'll keep everyone updated with more photos and stories after she has her surgery!
