SYLVIA ELOISE BOURNE Mc LENNAN

16 December, 1922 – 10 March, 2019

 Sylvia Eloise beloved  wife  and  mother of Clement (Cheryl);  Compton (Pam);  Janette Raulda (Elon);  Lyndon; Cecil (Roslind); Lynda Helene (Michael);  Brenda (Douglas); Lorna (Alan) and Dian, grandmother  of 28, great grandmother of 39 and great great grandmother of 1  was born in Blankenburg,  Guyana the second of four children  to Edwin and Amelia Hutson.  Sylvia’s three siblings were Ivy, Whitney and the sole surviving sister Evelyn.

 Mom’s life was long and varied built on faith, hope and love,  dedicated to loving service to all she encountered without thought of acknowledgement or reciprocity.  Sylvia was an upbeat person who always saw the bright side and was eternally optimistic.  Sylvia was very active throughout her life, during  her earlier years in Guyana and after she migrated to Canada in the mid 1970s.  Mom was active in many civic organizations including The Wilson Centre where she volunteered with the old people  until she was well into her 90s. 

 It is in this spirit of giving and being of service that we her children request that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Association of  Uncle Eddie Home 826-829 Jackson Street, Tucville Georgetown, Guyana using the attached link;

Mom, Grannie, Grandma, Auntie Sylvie, Cousin Sylvie,  Mrs. Bourne,  Sylvia  will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.   We shall be eternally grateful for her invaluable contributions to our lives.  May God grant unto  her soul eternal rest.
