I am raising money for Zaga Malivuk primary school located in a poor neighborhood of Belgrade (Krnjača). Donations will go towards buying musical instruments for a class of 25 kids, 9 of which have special needs.
The primary school Zaga Malivuk (https://www.oszagamalivuk.edu.rs/) is located in Krnjača neighborhood of Belgrade. Krnjača is home to around 23.000 people and has only one primary and one high school. It is home to people from diverse and often poor backgrounds, including Roma, refugees, migrants and asylum-seekers (Krnjača hosts one of Serbia's most populated asylum centers which opened initially to house refugees from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as internally displaced persons from Kosovo; some of these people have been living there since 1993).
One of the school teachers volunteers his own time and musical instruments to teach the 25 kids in his class how to play. The kids have achieved amazing results, but the school lacks sufficient instruments for all children interested in learning. Your donations will go towards expanding access to musical lessons and instruments to these children from underprivileged backgrounds.
