Update #1

Dear Supporters,

Our efforts continue in assisting Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria. We’d like to share with you a few updates!

1. On Saturday May 14th, Stoyan and I hosted a special event on our family bee farm and orchard in Bulgaria. Over 75 people from Ukraine, Bulgaria, the United States and other countries enjoyed a day of healing art, music and nature. It truly was a beautiful day with new friends… although we’re pretty sure our dog, Rio, was the real superstar! We plan to host another event in July.

2. We also began another fundraiser in collaboration with other artists to support the cause. The project is called “PEACE 2022”, A collaborative grid project. We invite you to view the beautiful work created. 100% of our proceeds will be used to fund creative art programs that support emotional healing for Ukrainian refugees

3. The funds we have raised here have been given directly to our sister charity, ZaDobroto for essentials such as food, clothing and medicine. They continue to amaze us with how much incredible nonstop work they are doing. Here is just one of their MANY MANY inspirational updates:
Another newborn discharged from the hospital in Bulgaria This is Anna, and her new son Matthew, the father has been lost in the war. The charity goes above and beyond helping new Ukrainian moms however they can, and to let them know they are not alone.

More Info

Stoyan and I recently visited this Ukrainian Crisis Center in Sofia. Please join us in supporting their cause!  We have personally researched their accountability and transparency, and see the incredible difference they are making. It is well organized, efficient and supports the hundreds of families who are fleeing to Bulgaria with only a backpack to escape the war.

What will the campaign funds be used for:

  • Consumables, food, medicines, accommodation, belongings and services that ensure the normal stay of Ukrainian refugees in our country.
  • Consumables and materials for the people who remained to fight for their country, and for transport to Ukraine.
  • To organize the provision of medical care for children, women and men who arrived in our country in coordination with hospitals - our partners. If necessary, we will only provide funds for treatment if it cannot be taken over by the medical institution.
  • Other activities that are necessary for Ukrainian refugees in Bulgaria.

The  ZaDobroto (For The Good)  is a registered charity in Sofia, with a reputation of the highest standards of accountability, transparency and effectiveness.
