The first holiday after losing a parent is the hardest. Let's show Evander we are thinking of him and honor his mother's memory with a small donation towards some holiday cheer.
A HUGE Thank You to everyone who has donated to help Evander in the wake of Laure's sudden passing. With your help he has been able to remain in Laure's apartment by moving in a friend to help pay the rent.
Laure always tried to provide Evander with gifts for the holidays, even when she was struggling to make ends meet. She often took on a second job leading up to the holidays to earn some extra money for that purpose.
Finances can be especially tight at the end of the year but even a small donation of $5 can help us give Evander with a little extra something in the spirit of the holidays and show him people remember his mother and her love for him.
Thank you again, and may the memory of Laure's love and laughter and fighting spirit warm your heart during these dark days of winter.

"Laure’s calm love literally held us together. Facing people and systems always ready to tear us down for being the baaadass ghetto skolaz we are and were. Writing this today is so hard for me between tears and pain, I’m so unsure of how to to just go on without her love."
