The Oaklyn Education Foundation is raising funds for the students of the Oaklyn and Collingswood School Districts. Due to the pandemic, the Districts have a deficit of $25,000 in their Technology Support Budgets.
Gifts to this campaign support a technology need across both districts. Typically, students who bring home Chromebooks pay a $25 annual fee for insurance on their machines, which usually covers all of the districts’ repair needs. Of course Chromebook distribution to homes increased dramatically in the spring, and the costs of repairs were quite high.
Given the challenges of this coming year, the Districts do not want to pass the cost of insurance on to the students and their families. This Campaign seeks to replenish the Technology Fund and enable students to have technology vital to their educational success, without the burden of cost.
