Wow! Look how far we've come in two weeks!
We have posts in the ground, and one wall erected!
It took five men to raise it.
Woring on the opposite wall now. Doors and windows being framed out.
Thanks for your help!
In July 2016, Guy McPherson and Pauline Schneider moved full time to Belize to pursue a dream long in the waiting. As many of you know, Guy is the world's foremost expert on the subject of abrupt climate change leading to Near Term Human Extinction (NTHE). Pauline and Guy met at one of his presentations in May of 2013 in Mount Kisco, New York and became friends. Later they became more than friends and decided to move to Belize where Pauline had purchased a former sheep ranch in 2015. She called it Stardust Sanctuary. She has been gradually establishing an edible forest garden there over the past two years with the help of folks who live on the property and Guy's guidance.
This past spring in April, Guy and Pauline hosted their first Belize based Only Love Remains workshop. Previous workshops had taken place on the West coast and East coast of the US. One of the participants of the April workshop has decided to move to Stardust Sanctuary and arrived permanently Monday, May 22, 2017. We have had non-stop guests (both spontaneous drop-ins and scheduled) visit and every day there are more requests to visit. We REALLY want folks to come and stay here on the premises where they can really get a feel for what we are trying to do here at the end of time.
It's been an incredibly busy Spring (Summer for Belize) at Stardust Sanctuary. Besides visitors, a two week lecture tour to California and Missouri, and trying to get irrigation to work during a four month drought (yeah, climate change is here too), four of our hens went broody and hatched out 30 chicks (surviving)! It's a veritable maternity ward!
This is one of the three adult Cochins with her passel of chicks.
We are very excited to have begun construction on the new quadplex for future guests and are deeply grateful for any help we receive from our friends around the globe.
Some of the awesome folks who live at Stardust Sanctuary.
