I hope all is well with you and yours. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer a week after my first child (daughter) was born, while I was in Thailand starting a business after working as a government attorney protecting consumers. I was told I would die if I did not receive chemotherapy immediately so I was forced to fly back to the U.S. and get 12 rounds of chemotherapy which resulted in me experiencing significant post-chemo complications of significant memory loss from my brain being swollen (could not remember friends' names) among other severe medical issues. Before this, I was a government attorney protecting consumers and was also a college professor who loved to go above and beyond for my students.
This disease has financially crippled my family and I and as a result I have not been able to pay our bills and afford my wife's immigration costs to be reunited with her and my daughter. I have been separated from my wife and 2 1/2 year old daughter for 2 1/2 years now and I desperately need to be reunited back with them.
I have gotten COVID a few times and it has really set back my recovery and has caused me significant memory and energy issues again.
I never thought it would get this bad, but I have had my utilities turned off and am frequently close to being evicted as I am waiting for my tax refunds and daughter's stimulus that we have been waiting over 9 months for. I begged my Congressman to help me with the IRS since May and nothing has come of it. I am constantly worrying about feeding my daughter, being evicted, defaulting on my student slavery loans, having my utilities turned off, having my car repoed, among other financial concerns.
All I want to do is get back on my feet so I could be a great father and husband and be reunited with my daughter and wife, but it's been nearly impossible and I feel as if I am in a hole I can never get out of.
We would be INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL for any donations and we promise to pay it forward when we are back on our feet. Thank you very much for your time and consideration and God bless.
