Update #4

My training has hit its peak. I ran 20 miles Saturday on the course (the last 3 in the rain). Lost 10 lbs which means I can eat all the ice cream I want! I will start my tapering (reducing the mileage) over the next three weeks to insure I'm ready for the race on August 6th.

More Info

I've been running for 20+ years and when I learned about the Loopy Looper 12 hour challenge I wanted to make the race more than me running in circles for 12 hours.  I've been a member of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul for many years.  The work the organization does is wonderful.  They help mostly those with their food related needs. During the height of COVID we served many families who were either sick or lost their jobs because of the pandemic. The organization continues to assist those throughout Camden County NJ and especially in the City of Camden. They also partner with Catholic Charities to provide food for new Refugee families settling in Camden County.

All of the proceeds will go directly to the St. Thomas More Society of St. Vincent de Paul. This will allow them to stock their food pantry to met the needs in the community.

Update #3

Although I was on vacation last week, my training continued. Ran from Stone Harbor to North Wildwood (and back). Also running more in the heat; to get use to running all day on August 6th.
