ASOY's Grade 2 students & the children at St. Therese’s Orphanage need your help to support their solutions to the health risk of Malaria and other areas of concern they found through their design thinking process.

Thank you so much for your generosity towards the 2nd grade fundraiser! Much has been accomplished within one week. As you know, our 2nd graders wanted to help out St. Therese's Orphanage, to see if they could make a difference by improving their living conditions. We started a fundraiser last Tuesday and it has been phenomenal what has been accomplished with around 900,000 cfa or $2,000 USD!
* built dropped ceilings for two rooms
* fixed roof
* fixed and replaced windows for dormitories and classrooms
* painted three rooms
* built a fence around the garden area
* made curtains, and put proper mosquito nets around each bunkbed (still in progress, but should be completed by end of this week!!)
YES! THAT'S IN A WEEK!!!
The next few projects that we are attempting to accomplish based on continued conversations are:
* fixing the latrine for proper drainage
* fixing and replacing the rest of the windows in the big building
* having mattresses made to fit the bunkbeds so there will be no gaps
* buying and/or making bedding
Our goal is to finish these projects by the holidays. We will need roughly 900,000 cfa or $2,000 USD more for the above.
