Dear future Donor,
My name is Travis Nichols, I hope you find this in the best of your heart! I am writing this on behalf of Southern California Academy, a non-profit organization that delivers unique mindfulness programs to equip student-athletes with the main values of life that they can apply to sports and into their everyday lives helping them become the best version of themselves.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY with a very difficult and struggling childhood. I had to work my way through high school and ended up playing Division 1 basketball on a full scholarship at St. Francis College. After college I thought I was going pro but sadly, things didn’t turn out as bright as I had thought. I then went into the training business to help people not make the mistakes I made. I felt happy in giving back to the children who could accomplish things I never was given a chance at.
For that particular reason, we are even more invested into our life skills program. Some of the kids we've trained over the years ended up not playing basketball but becoming actresses, models, singers, company owners and much more. We aren’t just helping out to better your skills in the sport you play in, we want to assist you in understanding the skills you learn in your sports that you can transfer over to your everyday life!
We provide students with sport specific training, skills training, and athletic performance enhancement, while preparing them academically for a wide range of high schools and colleges. We focus on elite training in both physical and mental capacity. We also equip our students with the necessary education, mindset and athleticism to successfully reach their goals in school, in sports and in any careers of their choosing.
Despite of our pious efforts to enforce this program, not every child can afford these types of programs. However, we feel that financial issues shouldn’t be the reason they stay behind. We believe our effort and vision should be a shared cause so we request you for generous contributions in this regard. Donations in any amounts are welcomed as it is the pious intention that matters.
Your donation for this noble cause will be highly appreciated and will definitely make a difference in their lives. We look forward to your response in this regard. Thanking you in anticipation!
