Imagine having to walking up the mountains for 3 hours everyday carrying jerry cans just to get water to fulfill your daily needs. That's how excruciating it is for the people of Anapalu Village, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Indonesia. Due to poverty, they're left with no choice but to do so. People are forced to divert a lot of their time - time that could have otherwise been invested into productive activities like education and skills development - towards getting access to water. This affects everyone - even children.

Our aim at Solar Chapter is to build solar-powered water systems in order to give the people of Anapalu Village ready access to water. Solar power ensures efficiency, sustainability, and affordability in the long run. It works excellently in Nusa Tenggara Timur due to its strategic geographic location - it receives high levels of solar energy annually that is more than enough to fulfill the people’s needs.

Help us help them give them what they need. Your contribution will have a great impact and will be used to purchase pipes that would be built in our community.
